Substrate and preparation
The substrate must be dry (wood moisture content max. 14 %) and free from greasy soiling. The application temperature should preferably not be below 16 °C. Drying behaviour is delayed at lower temperatures. Final sanding of the surfaces with at least 120 grit or grid.
Processing
Apply the Parquet Oil LF evenly once using a double-sided trowel (approx. 15-30 ml/m², depending on the absorbency of the wood). Then pad thoroughly with a single disc polishing machine and green pad and polish the surface with a white pad. For heavily used or particularly absorbent floors, apply a second coat sparingly the next day. After 20-30 minutes, buff the surface with a white pad. Avoid layer formation at all costs! Please note: Floors must be laid without joints or levelled if necessary. If joints are present, oil may leak or noise may be generated when walking on the floor.
Drying time
The drying time is approx. 6-12 hours (20-23 °C / 50-55 % relative humidity). Complete drying and full load-bearing capacity after 7-10 days. For reliable drying and to avoid odours, we always recommend the use of a fan to ensure sufficient air circulation on the surface during the drying phase.
Consumption
15-30 ml/m²; coverage: 40-60 m²/litre.
